Sony Bravia / Ubuntu & Orange LiveBox
#1
Ok lets go for explanation:

*I have a Kubuntu 9.10 computer
*I installed xbmc
*I have an Orange Livebox router for my internet
*I activated UPnP on the livebox
*I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 TV

I connected TV&Compu to my livebox ; both have local IP adress.

BUT :

I launch xbmc on the computer and try to refrech on my TV the detection of servers

In order to get my files directly on my TV...!!

But my Bravia do not detect anything. I can not connect to the Dlna (Upnp) server Sad

I tried a lot of things :
*different programs : *
uShare
XBMC
MiniDLNA

*i tried to enter different rules for ushare&minidlna in ufw for iptables in order to allow incoming connexions to server port (but dont know the port for xbmc)

Is there someone to help me coz I really don t know what I could try now...

Thanks
!

In fact I had already tried before but now I found the issue : I installed firestarter and selected "Stop the firewall".

And now my Tv is detecting the server Smile)
