Hi,
I was running XBMC 9.11 and a happy man But I noticed that the SVN release had some cool features I wanted to try out so I used a tutorial to get it all to work. But ofcourse like all the warnings said it's not quite stable enough so I wanted to get back to the stable version.
So I did a apt-get remove xbmc and did remove two files with the tag SVN in the name in directory /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
Stupid move ofcourse cuz some forum thread told me so and I wasn't even sure what I really was doing.
After that I tried to reinstall xbmc and it failed I got the following error:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xbmc: Depends: xbmc-data (= 1:9.11-karmic1) but 1:9.11+svn28256-karmic1 is to be installed
Depends: xbmc-skin-confluence (= 1:9.11-karmic1) but 1:9.11+svn28256-karmic1 is to be installed or
xbmc-skin-pm3-hd (= 1:9.11-karmic1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: xbmc-web-pm3 (= 1:9.11-karmic1) but it is not going to be installed
So how do I get out of this mess I made? Hope someone can help me out here.
Note to self: Never ignore a warning sign if you don't have clue what you're really doing.
