Done a straight swap for the code you gave, and wouldnt boot properly, so I restored, and replaced device, screen and monitor sections.. and still the same.. projector still only detecting 1080/60i...

Ive pushed my desktop through the pj, and confirm it will receive 1080/60p, so its definatley an xbmcism of some sort.. need to hack apart the conf file and see how it works...

Thanks anyway...!!!

Have you tried stopping xbmc and loading normal x windows to try and get the display you can run the nvidia display settings from there aswell.

Well, I think ive found the problem...

I know a windows pc on 1920x1080 shows up as 1080/60p on my projector, and the Asrock shows up as 1080p on my TV, and Nvidia X Desktop displays 60hz, and not just 60hz (interlace).. so this issue must be with the driver not reading the capabilities of the projector correctly, and therefor not offering a 60p compatible signal...

Ill just have to live with it, but will set XBMC to change refresh rate according to video, so will default to 24p when watching a film, or set the res to 120x1080 @50hz which results in 50p on the projector...

Thanks for all your advice....

this worked for me also. when initially installed xbmc live 9.11, i couldnt get 1080p either but decided to try xbmcfreak package of 9.11 and was able to get full 1080p in the settings. also selecting 'adjust display refresh rate' will allow me my tv to change to 24hz when watching movies and back to 60hz when in home screen.

Anyone know where I can get this? Their ftp appears to be down. I have the same Hz issues and no xorg.conf on my xbmc install. (XF86Config)
