Maybe asked before but I am going crazy with those psychedlic Milkdrop visualisations when playing music. Sure I can turn them off, but was wondering if there is a plug-in/script where I can select a folder on my network that randomly plays photo's from that folder while playing music....?

Yes it's possible. It's in the options: music och images. Don't know exactly where, but I run it on christmas when I want to show christmasy images when playing music

In Settings, Appearance, Screensaver set the mode to Slideshow and choose whatever picture folder you want. In Settings, Music, Playback turn visualisation off.
When the screensaver cuts in you'll get the pictures. I don't know if it's possible to make the screensaver cut in automatically.
