I have an acer aspire revo with xbmc live install TO hdd.

Everything has been working like a dream until today when I tried to play a flack music track there was no sound. Menus had sound, films have sound etc but no sound for music. I rebooted the machine and again the menus had sound but no sound for music. Then when I went back to the main screen my menu sound disappeared! I still have sound for Films but not for music or menus.

Who is stealing my sound and why?

More importantly, how do I get it back?

Ok, so rather strangely my menu sound has now been returned but by music sound is still missing.

Bugger, Now I feel really dumb. I have found that the XBMC volume was turned down to practically nothing..... Never leave Wife to use without supervision...

Just out of interest can anyone tell me why all the other sound was working apart from the music and why my menu sound vanished and then came back?

Hmm. Don't understand the music bit, but movies might still work if you are doing digital out, as xbmc would spit out the digital sound untouched.
