The XBMC web interface could use the theme files for XBMC itself.
In this way, the interface on the web could look the same as when using it on the TV.
The interface would be some javascript that would use XSL to transform the theme XML files into the correct HTML.
It would mean implementing the theme format using javascript etc.
For people good at javascript this would be possible, and with modern browser facilities such as canvas, and transparency most things in the interface could probably work.
Obviously I'd imagine that the Vis view wouldn't work, but everything else would be cool.
A big win, would be that themes would just work, and the web interface would always be fresh
