I have similar problems to everyone else. I'm running a GF9300 video card (on my Zotac board) and I have the current stable public release of XBMC and Lucid Lynx.

The odd part for me is that when I select a movie with either DolbyDigital or DTS audio my receiver is able to recognize that it's getting a DTS or Dolby signal, but XBMC still tells me that the sound device can't be initialized. I get no audio when this happens, of course.

speaker-test -Dhdmi -C6 only gives me audio out of my two front speakers. The sub and center speakers don't make any noise (I don't have rear surrounds).

I'm running the .23 ALSA thingy, and everything worked perfectly before upgrading to Lucid Lynx.
