Move Ubuntu(XBMC) from HDD to USB?
#1
Hi,

I have a ubuntu 9.10 minimal install with XBMC using the XBMC Complete Installer (XCI) https://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/xci/.

The XBMC is all configured to my requirements and runs perfect.

Now, I would like to move this installation from my HDD to usb.

Is there an easy way of moving/cloning the HDD to USB?

Basically I would like to boot from USB and had the same data as on my HDD.

You can clone the partitition with clonzilla or other clone tool (norton / acronis) but you are probably better of re-installing and then copy .xbmc over.

It is also possible to just copy the parition in linux but I am guessing that is more tricky.
