And it's been removed again until we evaluate the security model.

Was wondering why it had stopped working.
Tapatalk is used by 100s of forums, dome extremely large, I'm sure if there were any security issues they would have been ironed out a long time ago. Please can this not be forgotten, tapatalk is very useful, if you decide not to implement it maybe you could look at a mobile theme? Cheers |

Damn, I was waiting for this. What are the security issues? Is there any chance this could come back soon?

The main issue is we'd have to trust tapatalk to implement the security model correctly - i.e. that all the things that are in place as far as vbulletin goes is also handled by the tapatalk client. We don't want our users to be inadvertantly exposed if we can avoid it.
If anyone is experienced in forum management and knows anything about this then feel free to come and have a chat. That's a good thing. I hate having to click through the tapatalk popup before viewing a web-page. I'll be happy if someone is not trying to make money off of me viewing XBMC.org.

Have you actually tried tapatalk? The RO version is free... It makes it much, much easier to read and post on forums. I use avforums a fair bit and it's been on tapatalk for a while - it's much better than faffing around zooming I and out etc. Plus it strips out all the ads on forums, not an issue here, but on some it can be a nightmare. |

I'm subscribed to threads I care about. I browse threads on any of my 4 computers. I use my Ubuntu netbook if I want mobile browsing. Tapatalk is the only popup I ever get on my iPhone and I'm glad it's gone from this site.
