Suspend/Resume Problem
#1
Hi all, i have done some searching but have not found the answer im looking for so here is my problem with the suspend and resume...

I have 3 XBMC boxes in my house and one is the problem i am having trouble with, the problem started a few weeks ago that was another problem that lead to this one.
A few weeks ago i noticed that the movies i have on my server, some that are mp3 2 channel audio and others that are 5.1 channel audio where playing fine other then the 5.1's where coming out as 2 channel only, so i did some looking around in the settings and all looked good in xbmc then i looked at alsa and found every thing was good there too but still only getting 2 channel on all videos.
So i decided to reinstall with the newer version of xbmc and after setting up the audio thru alsa and xbmc i found my problems was that i had the Dolby Digital (AC3) unchecked and that was my problem from the start with the sound.

That is now fixed but since i did a reinstall now i have the suspend/resume problem, i can get it to do it once right after a reboot or a start up but then after that it just reboots its self.

I have looked thru all the posts about suspend/resume problems and compared them to mine and did some changes to some files but it still will not suspend and resume.

So i fired up all 3 XBMC's and compared them to each other and found some thing im not sure about.
I did a cat /proc/acpi/wakeup and here is what i get back

Bedroom and Rec-room XBMC say that same thing

xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ cat /proc/acpi/wakeup
Device S-state Status Sysfs node
HUB0 S5 disabled pci:0000:00:0a.0
XVR0 S5 disabled pci:0000:00:0b.0

AZAD S5 disabled pci:0000:00:09.0
MMAC S5 disabled pci:0000:00:0f.0

Living-room says this

xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ cat /proc/acpi/wakeup
Device S-state Status Sysfs node
PS2K S4 disabled pnp:00:09
SMB0 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:03.2

NMAC S5 disabled pci:0000:00:0a.0
PBB0 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:09.0
HDAC S4 disabled pci:0000:00:08.0
XVR0 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:0c.0
XVR1 S4 disabled
P0P5 S4 disabled
P0P6 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:15.0
P0P7 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:16.0
P0P8 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:17.0
P0P9 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:18.0
PWRB S4 *enabled
xbmc@XBMCLive:~$

As you can see most of the list has S4 on it including the USB0 and 2 but the Bedroom and Rec-room XBMC has S3 on the USB0 and 2.

So my question is has any one come across this and if so how do i fix that Oo

Did you try toggling them on and off so they match?

if you mean to disable them then re-enable them then yes, i know my remote is on USB0 but don't understand as to why they show as S4 and not S3 like they do on the other systems

If you are using the 9.11 repack iso, this is a known, unsolved problem. I fixed it by going back to the 9.11 beta iso. Patiently waiting the v10 iso that will hopefully fix these problems as well as the smb errors.
