[MAC] frame dropping
#1
Hello ppl!
I normally use XBMC for playing videos but I just had a trouble with a file. In fact with XBMC i experienced a strong frame dropping while opening it with quicktime it was smooth.
I have a mac mini, OSX 10.5.8, xbmc-r28256-trunk-x86 and a crystal HD.
The file was a simple 720p anime with a frame rate of 25Hz (at least... that's what I got from QT).
Here is my log, I hope it can help

http://pastebin.com/Vg87BR31

can someone give me a hint why xbmc can't play it correctly?
thanx alot!

CrystalHD: resolution = f interlace = 0, resolution is a size/frame rate thing.

0x0f is vdecRESOLUTION_720p23_976. Looking over the available size/frame rates, I don't see one for 720p/25 so I need to tag that for tracking (R30593). I'd like to see the MediaInfo output for that file.

thanx alot for reading!!
let me add... I'm totally sure it's something up to the file, I commonly play 720 and 1080 streams without problems. Just curious why quicktime can handle it correctly and xbmc not.

I already told you Smile

You might try turning on "adjust refreshrate", it's actually controls two things, only one of which is enabled on XBMC for Mac.

What are the two things it controls? and which one is enabled?

Thanx for your suggestions... just I'm too newby to understand what to do with your info. I just tried to change some options in xbmc, but no results.
Now I've a similar problem with a file, whose mediainfo log is at the end.
This time it's a 1080p res, but it works perfectly on plex (cpu works 130% considering the lack in crystal support) while in my xbmc version frames drop is really high.
Also in this case, option of xmbc had no infuence.
Could be that there is a bug somewhere? Or there is a suggestion to make it works? I hate to have to use plex... first for the tool itself, then for the crystalHD
regards!!!
