Hi,

using the future karaoke, i have a problem with sound quality on midi file extension, instead the kar file extension are playing with good sound (all instrument are used).

I'm note difference in :

midi file:

Note that the midi file is playing good using Totem

SO Ubuntu lucid
XBMC 9.10 pre (same problem with karmic and xbmc 9.04)

Any suggestion?

The first MID file is actually a MOD file (libmodplug).

KAR and MID are exactly the same type of file, just different extension. Historically KAR was a MIDI file which had lyrics added as text event, but it is not enforced. XBMC plays both KAR and MID using the same engine.
