Is the XBMC what I need to do the things I want?
#1
I've been ripping my 200+ Blu-Rays all into .isos. I am thinking about building a HTPC, but I have a few questions regarding XBMC.

Does it play Blu-Rays iso?
Does it support HD Audio Codecs?

If both are true, which Acer Revo model or what device would solve these issues for me?

Thanks,
Seth

I think support for BluRay has been added to the trunk builds, so it will make it to the version after Dharma, but I'm not sure if it will be in the imminent Dharma release.

Currently xbmc can't play bluray iso's, it can handle the m2ts without an issue, or if they are encapsulated in a mkv container. In the meantime if you have them in iso's you can use an external player for those files.

you could try this http://bloggingabout.com/bluray-playback...lugin.html but from my experience, if you want BD-ISO support and HD-audio passthrough, get yourself an xtreamer sidewinder or pro (NOT the old model as it can't support HD-audio)
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs
