First thing first ... XBMC is fantastik !
I was looking for an alternative to MPCHC(and ZoomPlayer) and found the dsplayer variant of XBMC just a few days ago ...
My question is why 'Default Waveout Device' not in the list of choices in the audio settings ?
With any directshow based players, whenever I would hit SkipForward (or Backward), the volume resets to an unexpected level (maximum) and hitting only once the volume button gets it back exactly where it was. No problem with FastForward (or Back). Had that problem with ZoomPlayer and now I have it with XBMC (with dsplayer off).
After playing around with other media players, I found out that if I select the 'Default Waveout Device' instead of 'Default DirectShow Device' (or any others), the problem goes away.
In the audio settings of XBMC I can select a whole bunch of audio renderers but 'Default Waveout Device' is not in the list !
The odd thing is if dsplayer is the default player, 'Default Waveout Device' is selectable in its config panel and, as expected, my volume problem does not manifest itself ! Why don't I use only the dsplayer you ask me ? Well, because I still have problems with dsplayer that are kinda annoying so in the meantime I would very much like to have a solution to my volume problem.
Is there something I can do ?
Any suggestion ?
Thanks in advance.
Not much clue in my log I'm afraid :
