While we're on redundancy, I find the "download succesfull" dialog pretty redundant as well. The progress dialog already indicates it finished the download.

Showing a dialog when something goes wrong is helpful, a dialog you need to confirm when something goes as expected is just annoying imo.

it's weird indeed, according to the wiki, all dialogs have a zorder of 1 by default.

but indeed, in this case, you have to explicitly specify it.

i think i'll change it to a kai notification instead.
that way you'll get at least some feedback.

Yep. That did the trick. Thanks. The window does tend to jump up rather suddenly now, but I can live with that.

Are there any plans on turning this into an actual add-on? Scripts are getting harder and harder to manage/update manually.

not sure what you mean?

this scipt is an addon and will be updated automatically through the addon manager in xbmc.
