disable menue items

I like to disable the menue item scripts and programs in xbmc root menue.

i searched the wiki and the forum but can´t finde an answer.

is this possible to disable some items?

In Confluence: Settings->Skin->Home window options

Pretty much every skin has this...though 'Home window options' might be called something different

thx. man i searched in the ini files and it´s implemented in the GUI. damm me.
