[WINDOWS] What remote specs?
#1
Hello,

I got recently an Asrock ion330-Pro thats comes without remote.

I have been searching about which one to take and I found a "Conceptronic remote media center" thats says it works with RF 2,4 GHZ~2,483 GHZ, works with windows 7 and comes with a usb dongle.

Sure its a stupid question but, which specs need a remote to work with XBMC in windows? must be bluetooth? wifi?.... or doesnt matter while works with mediacenter programs? I read wiki but didnt found much info.

Thx!

P.D:I'm also working on how to increaso cooling performance on this nettop.

I've got an Emprex Wireless remote, and it works brilliantly with XBMC, Boxee, and Media Portal.

You might want to install something like EventGhost to handle mapping remote key presses to XBMC functions.

Bluetooth, wireless, usb - it doesn't really matter as Windows handles that bit. As long as you can get something to turn remote button presses into key presses that XBMC understands, you're sorted.

See my signature. Plug and play remote (no eventghost needed) that works great for me. Several other remotes on newegg are very xbmc-friendly, just read the reviews there.
