Somewhere here or in the Sickbeard thread i saw an post about makeing them run as a service using the .py files without a commandline windows in win7

Can anyone please redirect me to that post? Tried searching but you guys know how it is..

Meh - don't blame yourself, I am even unable to find my own, previous entry to this topic, I explained it at least 3 times... but I can't find the posts (and I am too lazy to scroll through all my posts).
Do you really want to run it as a service, or do you just want cp/sb to run at startup without a window popping up?
If you truly want to run them as a service (I wouldn't recommend it, if you don't know what implications this has):

If you want the second option (for cp, should be explanatory afterwards for sb as well):
1. Go to your CP-folder and right-click the main *.py-file - hit "Create shortcut" in the context menu
2. Right-Click on the newly created shortcut and hit "Properties" in the context menu.
3. You'll find a line "Target:" with the whole path to CP beside it. Now click into the "Target"-Line and add "pythonw " at the beginning of the line - make sure that you do not delete anything from the entry. Save the changes.
4. Move the shortcut to your Start -> All Programs -> Startup folder.

That is it.

Is nzb.su down for anyone else? Seems like they have been down a lot as of late.

So I think I broke my copy of CouchPotato last night, does anyone know what I can do to fix it?
I ran the git update and after CP shut down, it didn't load back up again. I run CP on my Synology NAS using the package from http://synoblog.superzebulon.org/ just like I do for SB, SAB, Headphones etc. and they all updated fine. (I've been on holidays for a few weeks, so all the programs needed updating).

I've started and stopped CP in the Synology package center a few times, but it just doesn't start up.

Since it's all based on linux, what's the procedure to force a git update from the commandline, or what files can I backup, so I can remove then reinstall CP?

EDIT: Heres the error I get from attempting to run CP from the shell;

I have Python 2.6 installed, but it wasn't being called from the shell properly. I'll track down why and try again soon with python2.6.

EDIT2: Running CP directly with Python2.6 works fine, so I'm going to guess that something in that update broke the call for python2.6 over the default 2.5 in my NAS, and the package maker is going to need to fix it, as this is starting to sound less like a CP problem and more of a Synology one.

I'm having problems with lots of movies not downloading. I get errors similar to this for most of them. I've set it to 720P preferred, but there should be lots of other quality matches. Could anybody please tell me what the problem might be?


Another case

I have my quality set to 1080p only. Is there a way to set the source as well? i.e. I only want BluRay source... no 1080p HDTV

FYI heres how mine looks;

Ignore:

Preferred:

Quote:PROPER, DTS, ESIR, Repack, WIKI, UNRATED, EXTENDED, UNCUT, Rerip

So Ignore HDTV and have Bluray as preferred and you're good to go.
