Hello,
I have been running xbmc on a HTPC i built for over a year now. The HTPC is Zotac 9300 itx with a e5200 core 2 duo @ 2.5ghz, 2gb ram ddr2 800, windows 7 64. I have all the latest drivers for everything. I have always had it on a 46' 720P TV but recently upgraded to a Samsung 55' LED LCD 1080p tv. I love the TV so far but I notice that i cant play 1080P smooth. I can play on a PS3 just fine all my movies. I have checked my CPU and it does seem quite high because no DXVA support, it usually sits around 90% when playing 1080p. But the movies are not smooth at all. I have tried MCE-HD and enableing DXVA and using the GPU to play things and it seems ok but i would like XBMC to play them. I know there is no support for DXVA but shouldnt my system handle 1080p content just fine? Most of my movies are h.264 .mkvs I use CCCP as a codec pack. Do i need maybe a different splitter? If there is any thing i can do to test this out that would be great or do i just need to get my self like a quad 3.0ghz and that will probably fix my issues. It is also running into a Onkyo TX-SR608 but i have bypassed that receiver and it is still the same.
