i've been having some weird corrupt thumbnail issues when browsing remote fanart (and sometimes, though not nearly as frequently, with remote posters). at first i chalked it up to tmdb/thetvdb having issues but as it has persisted i'm thinking that is less likely.

one thing not immediately apparent from the picture is that the corrupt thumbnails seem to be repeated for some reason. the second thumb in that list is the same (corruption and all) as the highlighted thumb. also, selecting one thumb doesn't necessarily download the displayed image. eg. if image1.jpg might not necessarily be displaying the right thing and image2.jpg is what gets downloaded. i assume this is due to the corruption but haven't noticed any kind of pattern.
obviously this makes it pretty difficult to pick the right fanart. basically you have to just download each one until you find one you want.
let me know if this would be better served as a trac ticket.
