The username and password are both "xbmc".

If XBMCLive boots to a password prompt it normally means your video card isn't supported. You could try logging in then running the command "startx" to see if X Windows starts. If it does start then you can right click and on the menu somewhere (at the bottom I think) is a link to start XBMC. Try this and see if XBMC will work.
