after searching my machine, I cannot find where the backup I made of my video library is stored. Could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

Well if i recall it asks you where you want to export it to and gives you the option of doing so to a single file or to your media directories.

Export library to single files puts everything (thumbs included I believe, but you'd be better to test for yourself) beside your movies and shows.

when I export the library it exports to special://masterprofile/database/Lib where lib is the folder i created for it. The problem is I cannot find that specified directory.

See your debug log - it tells you what special://masterprofile/ is.
