Harmony remote issue when moving to new machine with XBMC
#1
I built a second XBMC box and can not get my Harmony 900 to work the same on it as the first even though it has the same IR receiver (it is not longer used on the first box)

I figured that since I had configured the Harmony 900 on the first box to work the way that I wanted it would be easy to copy over all of the keymaps to the new box (both are windows) and it would work as it does on the first box. (Including custom buttons, the colored ones, etc)

For some reason many of the buttons no longer work, etc. Is there someplace else I need to copy over files that I may have missed? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If the receiver is Microsoft compatible you probably need to configure it as described in http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Usi...in_Windows. If it isn't an MS compatible see the general comments in http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Usi..._with_XBMC.

jhsrennie,

Thank you for the response. One my old machine I did not have to tweak the registry and everything worked out of the box (setup as MCE in harmony software) with modified keymap.

I setup everything the same on this machine and the remote basics do work but none of the custom buttons (like "movies" which goes to movies, etc) which makes me wonder if there is another directory that the keymaps need to be in besides the home directory set of files.

Is there another folder somewhere such as in user\applicationdata or do you have any ideas?

Key map files can reside in several places:
%appdata%\xbmc\userdata\keymaps
%ProgramFiles%\xbmc\system\keymaps
%ProgramFiles%\xbmc\userdata - portable mode only

or for 64 bit Windows:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\xbmc\system\keymaps
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\xbmc\userdata - portable mode only
