Hi. Installed new version:
http://xbmcfreak.binkey.nl/xbmcfreak-10....lucid1.zip

My problem is when I play .avi movies: green screen. No problem with .mkv.
I update latest nvidia drivers and now the green screen is black with red band....
Any suggestion?

Hannes The Hun Wrote:it is not. as usual for these customized live installations, it is recommended to stick with the drivers that are provided out-of-the-box, especially when it's a graphics driver and you start to seriously mess with kernel modules.

What I thought. LOL

Still like to know how to make "wake on remote" working. Also I got the problem that when I want to put xbmc in standby that it immediately comes back on. xbmc power saving is set to suspend.

One problem I found in all xbmc versions is that when I config "video calibration" it is only for that resolution and refesh rate that is used at the moment. Wen I play a video that is not at the same refresh rate it is going back to basic (overscan). Any solution for that?

The latest nvidia drivers 256.* fix a nasty bug for hdmi pcm multi-channel audio, Which for some users is a big deal.

@Andre

check out the wiki to enable wake on usb.

For the overscan issue, play a movie that switches to a different refresh rate. hit enter to bring up the osd, then go to video settings and lastly scroll to the bottom to edit video calibration.

cheers

pumkinut Wrote:The only problem I have with it is that I can't boot to it via my USB attached optical drive. When I try I get an "Unrecognized Filesystem" error and it drops me to the grub prompt. I installed it to a thumbdrive via unetbootin, but I'd like to try the CD in case I want to install to my HDD.

Have you tried changing the USB emulation mode from 'Auto' in the bios?

I assume you also have a harddisk installed with your movies and music.
While this is a viable option, I think the scope of doing this is well out of the ballpark for an average windows user..

I downloaded Xbmcfreak LiveCD 10.08 svn31632 and installed to hard drive.
Check out the system info and it says its r31542.

Dunno if this makes any difference but.... there supposed to be RTMP support with Xbmcfreak LiveCD 10.08 svn31632.

Thanks the video calibration did the thing. Don’t understand why I didn’t know that.

For wake on usb, it look like it is working BUT when I wake up xbmc it comes at linux login but won’t go to xbmc by itself. Any idea about that? Not important any more I accidentally installed xbmcfreak911livev14 and xbmcfreak-10.08-svn31632-lucid1 does got back in xbmc after Suspend and I can put it in Suspend with remote. But the solution on wiki wont help to get the pc out of Suspend with remote.

One other problem I have is, if I play killersample or a film like avatar, it is not smooth. It plays normal than it slows a bit and then it speed up and then It is normal and then slows a bit and speed up and that stays the hole film/video. Most of the films I don’t have that problem but about 10% of the 1080p films does.
