[MAC] VDADecoder performance over HDMI on new Mac Mini?
@D-tyme @davilla

thanks guys for solving VDA issue.
Still have problem with audio passtrough thru HDMI for DD and DTS. With previous XBMC version passtrough works without any problem, but since Dharma release I have this wierd problems. PCM Multichannel working OK and its my workarround for multichannel sound from my AV receiver.

Here is some things related to audiomixer in my log with enable passtrough for DTS and DD:

Since this thread may very well be coming to an end, let's keep this thread focused. I would suggest that you start a new thread and post all relevant information there.
Sorry for that.
@D-tyme, that color issues is a tricky one. From what I see, the wrong color scale is getting expanded and it overflows. Can't tell right now if it's a renderer issue or it's with sw_scaler.

EDIT: it's not sw_scaler, made some tests to pass the decoded picts up to renderer as UYVY and same thing with color issues.

Does this occur with many of your video content ? Any common source (all from same eh, rips) ?

The funny thing is, it only happens with PotC movies (parts 1, 2 and 3). So it must be something specific to how they are mastering these particular movies on BluRay.
Is there a build out for download yet with these fixes on board?

I'm hoping for the same thing as I don't know how to make a build myself.

It isn't impossible, but it can be harder if you don't have experience with the development tools. I prefer to wait for an official build instead of trying my own because I don't want my TV crashing or experiencing issues that require a downgrade to 10.6.3 again.
I am using XBMC 10.0 on a macbook Core Duo that is hooked up to a Sony HDTV using a DVI->HDMI cable. I have a CrystalHD 70015 installed with r174 drivers.
I get the same problem with the frame rate going down to 15-19 instead of 24, playing any h.264 file on my HDTV.
The frame rate is fine if xbmc is windowed or if I switch off hardware acceleration. No problem if played on the macbook screen.

I compiled the latest revision as of feb 2nd from github but that version can not see my crystalHD card (no option in settings/video). Any ideas?

Do not thread jack. It is obvious from the title of this thread that your "issue" does not belong here. Start a new thread...
Wow looks likes there's been a lot of work gone into this issue since I last checked the thread.....

Does this now mean the dropped frame issue is now fixed?

Is there a stable/official build out in the wild yet?

If not does anyone know when this will drop?
I thought it was the same problem since it was also hardware accelaration and I am experiencing the same issues. Was not trying to hijack any threads. Sorry about that.

@erhnam
Thank you :-)
Booyah!

I played many bluray rips with bit rates around 30 and all played flawlessly.

Thanks Davilla for all your hard work (Mac and iOS).
