Media and Win 7
#1
My current issue is that all my media is sitting a partition made by windows, and can only be seen by windows. (I don't know the in's and outs of this). I have installed XBMC along side Win 7 because I like the change of pace from windows. Am I going to have to install XBMC in windows to gain access to my music, or is there something I can do linux side to see the files.

FYI, XBMC, Windows and all my media (pics, videos and music) are all on their own partitions.

you can mount the windows paritition in xbmc(linux). Look for mount ntfs partition ubuntu on the google.

There is certainly entertainment value in doing things the hard way, though unless you enjoy the operating system equivalent of an Adventure game (you are in a maze of twisty passages) wouldn't it be easier to just run XBMC on Windows?
