The htpc is showing up on my network but will not get an IP address, and the status shows offline in the router settings How can I fix this... O and there is no way I can get to the command line as well from XBMC, since I used XBMC freaks version. Nor can I ssh into the box until it obtains an IP addy? Any help?

Post the output of "ifconfig".

You should see an entry for eth0, lo, and wlan (if you have wireless). If you do not see eth0, then the setup was likely run incorrectly.

CTRL+ALT+F7 goes back to XBMC.
