DVDPlayer does not play ISO images created with cdimage/oscdimg
#1
In the past I have created many DVD Video images with cdimage.exe and oscdimg.exe (from Microsoft).

I used the options: -m -u1 -uv to create a DVD Video compatible UDF image.

Quote:-uv This option specifies that UDF Video Zone compatibility is to
be enforced. This means UDF 1.02 and ISO 9660 are written to
the disk. Also, all files in the VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS, and
JACKET_P directories will be written first. These directories
take precedence over all other ordering rules used for this image.

When I mount these images in Windows then I works fine in other programs (MPC-HC, WMP, bsplayer) but opening the ISO from XBMC does not work.
I tried several releases of XBMC (the stable 9.11 and some nightly builds from July 2010).

When I extract the image it plays fine in XBMC.
I have tested this with many DVDs (with or without menu).

Also images created in the ISO 9660 don't work.

Images created with DVD Shrink and mkisofs play fine in XBMC.

Can this be fixed that I can play images created with cdimage/oscdimg in the format ISO 9660 and UDF?

Specs: Asrock ION 330, Windows 7.
