Hi there!
This is my first post in this forum, after having used XBMC with Transparency! for over a year and thoroughly enjoying it!
Lately, there seems to be a problem with the "watched" indicators in video file mode. It works fine in Library mode. Also worked in file mode until a couple of weeks ago.
In file mode, the context menu does 'know' the status. It says 'mark as unwatched' when I've indeed watched the video. The tick mark (V) does not show, however. It does in Confluence.
Working on Vista x64, with XBMC r31977 and T! svn r503. Using full list lay-out in file mode.
Thanks in advance for any tips / solutions!
"Watched" marks not showing in video file mode

hmm...i can't reproduce your error and don't have an idea what could be causing it.
could you post a debug log when marking and unmarking some movies? Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Do not PM or e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first. |

Took some time to figure that one out...
This part of the debug log should contain a set of first unmarking and then again marking a file. Although the corresponding text in the context menu changes, there are no marks. Hope I didn't overdo it on the log text, didn't know what exactly to look for. Thanks for your help, Ronie! Thanks for your reactions, guys!
Got so bugged by not having watched marks for my tv shows, that i finally decided to get the files into the library. Had postponed this for a long time because of file name stuff. (maybe should have told you before the files concerned were not in my library...) And suddenly i do get watched marks, also in file mode! Even for the (anime) series, for which the individual episodes wouldn't load into the library. So, no more problems for the directories and files that are now in the library. The problem still remains for some misc files that i've left out of the library. It seems confluence does not need files to be in the library in order to show watched marks. Weird, but now it works almost perfect in my favorite skin as well. |

Verberzerk Wrote:(maybe should have told you before the files concerned were not in my library...) yes you should ;-) flags in filemode only work for items that are also in your library (afaik). edit: it should work in both skins though, so still no clue why it did work for you in Confluence. Hi, i've also been looking for an answer for this. But first off, let me congratulate you on a great skin for XBMC, it looks great and seems highly adaptable so far!
I could put items in the library just so the watched tag would show up on the file mode list, but then again, most of those items won't end up being saved. Seems unnecessary to me to search for information on items that might not be saved more permanently. Maybe it's a question of the version of Confluence we're using here, so here's the info on my setup: Hardware: Asrock ION-330 System: Ubuntu 2.6.23-24 (x86) Software: XBMC PRE-10.5 r32696 Skin: Transparency! v3.10.0 I've made 2 screenshots, one from the Confluence skin packaged with the XBMC build, the other is from the Transparency! skin, this will explain what i think we both mean: Transparency!: ![]() Confluence: ![]() Isn't there a way we could add the "watched" column in the XML buildup for the menu somewhere? Seems to me like that is the thing missing here. |
