What's the difference between Broadcom Crytal HD 70010 and 70012
#1
I can't seem to find anything but this :

http://www.broadcom.com/products/Consume...s/BCM70010

http://www.broadcom.com/products/Consume...s/BCM70012

I know one says PCI-e and one doesn't. But I have a BCM70010 in front of me and it's a PCI-e card so Wink

Anyone know?

the BCM 70012 is an PCIe controller for using BCM70010 on PCIe bus. it seems BCM70010 (the decoder) works without BCM70012 on PCI bus.

Thanks for the perfect response! Cool

The BCM70012 is indeed on the card just a much smaller chip. It's weird that Broadcom list the BCM70010 in their 'legacy' chips though. I guess they only the sell the combo 70010/70012.
