Building A HTPC I need your Help!!

I want to build a HTPC I want the Emulators running flawlessly 1080P Video to run like a breeze. I ask all of you if you can help me build this. NewEgg wish list suggestions would be great.. Game pads and an RF remote would be nice. I'm so torn on how to build this HTPC. IF you can please piece a build together for me i would greatly appreciate. I'm looking at a price around $500.00
