Disabling xbmc's usage of remote's Red,Green,Yellow,Blue buttons
#1
Ubuntu Lucid
XBMC 9.11
Remote: MCE

I have my media PC setup to use the 4 colored buttons as customized actions on the media PC so I don't want xbmc to use them. I noticed by default they map to "go to videos" or "go to music", etc.

I copied the default remote.xml into ~/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps and removed all references I could find to the red, green, yellow, and blue XML elements.

After rebooting the machine, I navigated to the Settings area off the main menu and pressed Green (not the Windows Home button). My irexec event happened correctly but XBMC also went over to my videos.

What have I missed?

I think I figured it out.
I also copied the default Lircmap.xml to ~/.xbmc/userdata and removed all red, green, yellow, and blue XML elements. Rebooted (to be sure) and now when I push the little Green button it just does my irexec command and doesn't navigate me around xbmc.
