this is my first post here and i have a question;

why are the imdb look ups so slow?

it takes approx. 10-40 seconds to do a look up. is that normal?
i parse web pages quite often (asp & php) and it takes <2 seconds.

i have a 10mbit connection (both directions).

ok, doesn't help me though.

sometimes (rarely) i get these response times too, but most of the times it's up to 40 seconds.
