I added all my music to xmbc but alot of the album art is missing. All the information and album art is perfect in my itunes though. Is there a way to make xmbc use the information from itunes to organize my music?

By default iTunes doesn't save the cover art into the file. I believe there is a way to do this within iTunes - you might want to try googling.
Basically you want iTunes to embed the artwork within the files.

in itunes if you use the 'find cover art' function it will not be embedded.
however if you use the 'get info' function and drag the cover art into the artwork field it will be embedded. 99% sure.
however my advice is to use mediamonkey to sort and tag music.
