How do all. Had XBMC running on my appletv for some time now and thanks to everyones hard work its right up there with things that are awesome.
I've had it running SVN-28212 for some time but thought I would ask if anyone knew the best way to set the audio up.
The set up is HDMI from the appletv to the tv and then optical to the 5.1 amp. Now when the XBMCs audio is set to analogue the sound works fine out of the tv but when switched to the amp I get the horrid sharp white noise that you get when the audio is not being decoded properly. This works the other way too. the amp sounds fine when xbmcs audio is set to digital the amp is fine and the tv is not.
the long and the short of it is.. is there a setting I have missed that outputs to both so I dont have to switch between the analogue digital settings and blow my ears out when I forget.
