I'm thinking of purchasing a Pandigital Novel 7" tablet that runs android. Has anyone used one of these with this app?

I would be happy to test it out if not. Basically they say it's a 7" tablet running andriod 2.2 (I think) and for the price ($115) would make a great XBMC wifi remote control.

Any thoughts / advice is greatly appreciated.

Here is another similar option:

http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/26/augen...-to-store/

It runs android 2.1 (I doubt that the pandigital will be running foyo either). Either woudl work great as an XBMC remote and for web browsing on the toilet. Big Grin

I would be looking at something like this if I hadn't just gotten a new android phone (Samsung Galaxy S) which scratches by adroid itch for now.

Ok, thanks. I think the novel comes with 2.1, but has an upgrade/patch for 2.2

As for XBMC remote control gui (html) interfaces, I recall there being a whole list somewhere of nice looking interfaces one could download and install, but I can't see them anywhere.

The default web page is a little basic looking, although it works fine. Does anyone know of a nice remote http interface for a tablet screen? 800x600

thanks!

Just a side note, I bought 3 Pandigital digital picture frames for relatives for Xmas last year. All three crapped out within 6 months of use. But, that's just my personal experience with the company.
