Dharma: Web interface broken?
#1
Question
I've searched for info about changes to the web interface in Dharma but have failed to find anything usage related that indicates that it isn't supposed to work like it does in XBMC 9.11.

Connecting to Dharma through http only gives me a few basic links, Albums being one of them. I can click myself down to a song, but can't find any way to start playback or add to queue. I've tried several Dharma builds up to and including r32268, they all look the same.

The web interface in XBMC 9.11 works without a hitch on the same machine, I'm using a Mac mini with OS X 10.6.4.

Am I doing something wrong or is the Dharma web interface broken? Huh

It's work in progress...

◦Added JSON-RPC and JSON API over HTTP and Sockets for bidirectional communication

◦Added microhttpd Web Server (and removed the old GoAhead and Spyce code) for HTTP API

OK, I didn't think the built-in web interface would be a work in progress since Dharma was branched, "That means that from this point on, only fixes and important updates will go into the release branch".

I'll give XBMC Control Web Page a try until Dharma's web interface has been completed.

The current webinterface was only meant as a POC and I am no webdeveloper.
My hope was that there would come a more properly created interface which could be standard interface but it hasn't. That and JSONRPC is still young means that webinterface wise will be in the half-assed state for dharma unfortuanatly.

The team would appreciate any help out there in this regard though Smile

Cheers,
Tobias

OK, no problem. XBMC Control Web Page looks quite nice and seems to be working well.
