i want to start using xbmc... before i start to install.... can anyone post any pics of the skins of the programs...

are they consistent... or can it be modified?

Everything can be modified, depending on how much you want to put into it. Many mods to skins can be found here on the forums.

do u think minimum 2g ram pc would be fast enough?

That link is pretty old. If you head to this forum you will find many new skins. Most of them have a sticky post with some screen shots. Look for a topic called "release thread."
