not the newer version bundled with PowerDVD 9
Thanks
Yep, That's the same one.
And I got my words wrong. It's not a driver. It's a "Process" that runs at windows start up (unless you tell it not too). The Process is called PDVD9sev.exe
This remote was made for the software "PowerDVD" But it is also designed for use with Windows Media centre. That's why it has all the extra keys. And most of them will not do anything. Some of them do the same thing even when labelled differently. But when used in the software "PowerDVD", They do as they are meant to and as labelled. I Know, Very weird. This remote is really a small keyboard as far as windows is concerned. It treats it as a keyboard.
When you install "PowerDVD" (I am using PowerDVD9 but PowerDVD8 or above is good), It installs this little program "PDVD9serv.exe" as a Windows start up program that runs in the back ground. I Like it as I use PowerDVD to play all my Blu-Ray discs.
But I now have the best of both worlds. I Can use it for PowerDVD software. And with EventGhost set to run at start up as well. I Can use it to start and use with XBMC. It's is great. Also I might add. Somewhere on this forum there is a setup guide for use with Linux builds.
I Got this remote from
http://www.ebuyer.com for £6 2 years ago. And I must say, It is a great buy for that prise. I Might just say the best £6 I have ever spent for my PC. It really is great when you get it setup.
