I am having issues trying to play The Daily Show full episodes. It is because of swf verify v2. How does on disable swf verify? Any help on this.

it is not fixable by the user. it is on the server.

Basically the users are screwed till someone adds support to rtmp for swf verify v2. I hate these content providers.

Well, quite frankly, yeah.

They're making the exact same mistakes as the music industry did.

The Daily Show and Cobert Report work great for me using rtmpdump-2.4.

Tried it here using rtmpdump-2.4 and rtmpdump-git. Still not working for me - I'm running pre-eden though so that could have something to do with it as well.

Oh well, back to waiting.

Probably! I'm still on Dharma 10.1.

Is this working for anyone?

Yes, for me it's working perfectly, though not out of the box.

You need to download rtmpdump sources, then apply this patch:
http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/rtmp...chment.obj
(save it in the rtmpdump source folder, for example as swfverification.patch, then run git apply swfverification.patch)
Recompile (see README if you don't know how), install, restart XBMC. Done. Also works for Colbert Report, South Park Studios and any other Viacom sites I'm guessing.

DrDaxxy - THANK YOU! I knew about the patch but had no idea how to apply it (git is like a foreign language to me) After some poking around I finally managed to get it to work! Thanks so much!

I can confirm this works for me but I had to apply the patch manually for some reason. Recompiled and its working.

Also had to apply it manually. Git gives a "corrupt patch at line 21" error.

Someday we're just gonna have a single download that works out of the box. *sigh*

Thanks for the hard work, everyone!
