Just leave the password field blank in both the xbmc and the remote.

@ThisGuy: Thanks, that's a good hint. Will put it into the FAQ.

I have gotten the same error too.
Everything worked fine until i upgraded my installastion (openelec on raspberry pi). Cannot get the remote woking. Have tried: disabling password and changing port. The web interface is running on port 80, have tried changing it to 8080. have tried enabeling password, no go. Then disabeling it (no password), still the error. EDIT: And now I read that its the app that needs an update.

New member to the forum, but a long time user of XBMC. Have been using the remote for some time with my Windows based installations of XBMC, however for the life of me I can't get it to work with any of my Raspberry Pi installs.
Same error(s) as above. I/O Exception (java.io.FileNotFoundException) http://my.ip.address:8080/ xbmcCmds/ xbmcHttp?command=GetSystemInfo(120) Is this a known issue? Are there plans to support the Pi with the remote or should we find a diff. remote that talks to all / any instances of XBMC. Windows, Linux, and Pi. Much appreciated. Cheers- |
