Scripts failing with "fd == -1"
#1
In the latest nightly builds of XBMC, I've noticed that after running addons (specifically plugins) for a short while, they'll eventually fail giving me an "ERROR: Status: fd == -1" in the log. Any clue as to what would cause this? After this error message appears in the logs, I get kicked back to the main "Video Add-Ons" screen and none of the icons are clickable.

same here. Here's my log:

Here I'm using a PVR build, but the issue is present in standard nightlies as well. It seems that build 31520 don't have this problem.

It looks to me like you have outdated versions of the addons. They are looking for default.py, but with the new addons, it's been changed to addon.py.

Try removing the offending addons, and re-installing them.

(I just loaded the YouTube addon, and it worked fine for me [except that playing a video failed. Probably a problem with my internet connection])

Just to confirm, I downloaded the latest Dharma SVN, and everything is fine with the YouTube addon. As I suspected, the previous failure with playing a video was my internet connection.

Tried the YouTube 1.7.7 addon (last version found, which, BTW, uses default.py, not addon.py). After watching a dozen or so videos, the problem arise again.
