Windows Audio Drivers?

I've just bought the Jetway ION2/Atom 525 Nettop to attempt to replace my very trusty Xbox...

This one:-

But I'm having a few problems getting multi-channel audio out of it to my amp... I cant use HDMI audio as for some reason on my Samsung 40" LCD the picture looks dire... washed out and low refresh rates, so I use DVI/VGA... but the Jetway has SPDIF on the front! happy days!... but no, I can only get 2 channel audio out of it.

The specs read as:-

Realtek 7.1 Channel HD Audio CODEC with SPDIF out
Nvidia L-PCM digital audio (HDMI 1.3) can support 7.1 output with external decoder

The Jetway only came with drivers for USB audio? which personally I've never used or would know how to get it to my amp.. No

So I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience? should I load ION audio drivers or maybe try some realtek ones? Huh or am I missing something in windows?

What version of Windows are you using?

I would definitely just use the Nvidia HDMI output.

My setup is as follows HTPC - HDMI to Reciever - HDMI to Samsung LCD.

Try latest Nvidia drivers and make sure to setup the correct Display resolutions and refresh rates.
