I've downloaded trailers in .mov formats, and set the addon to the folder with the trailers in it. For some reason, it skips the trailer part.

Do they have to be a specific format?

I also download to a folder which I have created in my home directory. I use the apple-lite addon for downloading them. The add-on for apple-lite gives you the options of where to save and also to add .nfo file and will rename trailer with -trailer on end ....example

The Green Hornet-trailer.m4v
The Green Hornet-trailer.nfo
The Green Hornet-trailer.tbn

All the files are created in my trailer folder. The Home Cinema Experience picks all these trailers up fine.

As for the format I do believe any format will play as long as the trailer name ends with -trailer. I could be wrong though. Good Luck
