@lasermat2 The latest ver is 4.4.2 Try updating to the latest ver and see if that fixes your problem.

YouTube Video Download Location:
I added a SMB path in to the YouTube add-on settings for the download location. However when I download a YouTube video it does not save it in my path on the server.
Instead I find the Video files are on the XBMC PCs local drive in this folder:
/home/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/script.module.simple.downloader
Anyway to fix this?
Thanks

Hello there,
I am getting script errors only with certain youtube videos. Most youtube links do play fine but if they are the kind like this example "http://www.youtube.com/movie?v=v7Pmsx6EswY&feature=mv_sr" They do not appear to work.
When clicking on the item result in a computer I would need to click the Watch now button, then it takes you to the link in on the pc browser. Pretty sure this is what is stopping it from playing
Could this feature please be added?
Thanks in adva

ie: you have a playlist of 10 videos and they all play in a row without pressing anything, like youtube for the pc.
Right-click (or 'C' on your keyboard) > Play All
hello, I got the following issue - after clicking "play all" for my playlist nothing happens, nothing plays.
then if I choose to play a single video from the playlist it's OK but if I want to skip to next video I got the message "Can't find a next item to play".
any ideas?
many thanks

Hello everyone, YouTube is working great, videos are playing, but has anyone noticed that not all videos can be fast forwarded? This is true mostly for longer videos, but again not all of them, for example this one does not work:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJWLt1TmAy4
While this one works just fine and I can rewind it:
http://youtu.be/j9w-i5oZqaQ
My guess is that it has something to do with codecs, Is anybody else experiencing these problems, I opened a thread about this issue over here
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=154614
I thought I'll have more luck finding an answer here.
This happens both on Xbian and XBMC install on LMDE Xfce....fully updated....

I can second that - the Play All and Shuffle+Play All functions were working before and now it's broken.
Single video selection plays fine.
I'm using version 4.4.2.

Hey makers of this great add-on,
I was wondering if this idea would be something you could contribute on?
It's about searching for a music video on youtube for the currently playing music.
See this thread for more details: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=140214
Grz, LoL

Updated my XBMC install and the YouTube add-on seems to work fine. Only thing I can't seem to adjust is the volume of the videos. They are twice as loud as anything else.

To get the plugin into the official XBMC repository they have to submit it to the https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/list...bmc-addons mailing list. The xbmc-addons guys then either update the repository or reject the plugin with instructions on what needs to be fixed.
Henrik has submitted version 3.4.2/4.4.2 twice in the past couple of days (also includes fix for search when using unicode characters). Maybe next time it'll get in.
it is broken

XBMC Remote and Yatse can both send Youtube videos to XBMC. This can be accomplished by either clicking a Youtube link in a search result, or by hitting the share button inside the Youtube app (I know Yatse does this, not sure about XBMC Remote)
