XBMC and A.R.E.
#1
Hi everyone,

For a long time I've been looking for an ambilight solution without having to trade in my Sony Bravia for a Philps tellie with ambilight. I came across the following product: A.R.E (ambient reality effects http://www.arfx.nl/). But now it seems that there are some problems with AMBX (also a similar product). Does anyone know if A.R. E. has the same problems? and what are your experiences with A.R.E?

I would really suck to buy a kit ( TV package 1) and find out that it doesn't work with the new release of XBMC. FYI I update my XBMC daily with the nightly releases.

TIA

Its a difficult one for any one to answer who does not have the setup. The best person to ask is bobo1on1 http://forum.xbmc.org/member.php?action=...&uid=41141

I am pretty certain it would work in linux (which is still fine for Dharma and ambx), in windows its anyone's guess.

Well if their software can grab from a fullscreen directx application then yes, if not then no.
