Hey has anyone thought of doing a plugin for the Voddler movie service. it be would gr8 if i could use my VODDLER account in XBMC..

I think you might have trouble finding an overlap in python developers, and voddler subscribers. will you get me a subscription? =P

While they initially wanted to allow access from xbmc. They went back on that, and now they keep their api closed (aswell as stopped using xbmc as frontend), so it's unlikely it'll happen unless they have a change of heart.

I would love voddler in xbmc!
How about sort of an externalplayer workaround or something that grabs the links of the voddler site, and when you hit play, voddler is run from same way as when u hit the playlink in the browser?
Is that even possible? don't know too much about programming, and no python, so...

I have feeling that this has been discussed before: here or on Plex forums and I don't think it is possible - but I would also love to see this.

Haven't done any xbmc-scripting myself but since you can launch a movie from the browser by replacing "info" with "play" in the URL (e.g. http://www.voddler.com/movie/play/272462...l-affairs/)

Since there isn't a plugin at the moment, would it be possible to use Voddler from the PC and then receive that as a stream in XBMC ? Kind of similar as there is guides to setting this up for P2P-TV.

just registered to say that I am working on a Voddler plugin for Plex at the moment and it is looking promising. I have no idea if a plex plugin could be easily ported but since both seem to use Python it could at least be used as a reference.

Today I had some time to learn how to make plugins on xbmc and studying the plugin for plex and I have made some little progress:

Currently only is able to show some categories and movies, parsing api requests, but it's a beginning.
