Would be great to solve this once and for all. I believe the developers asked for logs etc but didn't receive anything useful (until the latest posts at least).
Can we maybe find some mkvs (no copyright) which all of us can use for comparison between our different systems/setups.

There isn't anything useful in the logs that you can work off, that's the whole problem. Also, for me this has been fixed since Helix anyway, so I can only give tips to affected people, not debug logs anymore.

does anybody observe sync issues with passthrough audio disabled?

FernetMenta: Still the same ~120-180ms for me according to OSD for 24p and ~20-80 for 25p. Running the DX11 version.

First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

When i disable Passthrough theres still a delay of about 180 ms if I play 24p.

Hardware is a Asus Chromebox running OpenElec (EGL Testbuild from fritsch – Kodi 15)
TV is a Samsung F6500 46“ – all Picture Enchancer disabled
AVR is Yamaha RX-V473
Decoding is VAAPI
Renderer is Shader GLSL
Playing a 23,976 FPS Test File:
Refresh rate 60hz with and without Passthrough – no Delay
23,976 Hz with Passthrough – Delay
23,976 Hz without Passthrough – Delay
23,976 Hz without Passthrough and VSYNC disabled – Delay
23,976 Hz with Passthrough and VSYNC disabled – Delay
23,976 Hz with Passthrough and SW Decode – Delay
23,976 Hz with Passthrough and SW Decode and SW Rendering – Delay
23,976 Hz without Passthrough and SW Decode – Delay
If I enable PC-Mode on my TV:
23,976 Hz with Passthrough – no Delay
Like said before, there must be some sort of Input lag or so in normal 24p Mode on the TV, even if all Picture Enchancer are disabled.
