24p and audio sync issues
Nope - still needs work for OSX, IOS - feel free to pick it and compile it - works fine on windows.

Edit: http://jenkins.kodi.tv/job/BuildMulti-PR/3374/
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Oh if only I had the expertise lol.

fritsch - getting a 404 error on this link - have things moved on?

No, you were too late when clicking it. I will make you a testbuild now - so you can test it on windows (make sure to backup your kodi as it is a v16 alpha build).

Edit: http://jenkins.kodi.tv/job/WIN-32/5711/ will result in tests here, after it is ready: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/win32/

fritsch - that's typically me - late to the party as usual lol. Thanks for setting this up, looking forward to testing.

Might be, it needs some minutes until your mirror has it synced.

Can anyone explain to me why overclocking my GPU has improved my audio sync issues?

My video card is a Nvidia GTS 450. I still have a consistent audio delay of -130ms, but there is no longer any drifting from video to video. The delay is now stable.

I am using a different set-up than most. I am using DSPlayer with madVR as the video renderer and WASAPI Exclusive bitstreaming.

Something between MSI Afterburner and the increased core clock and memory clock has made video playback more stable.

I've recently upgraded to Kodi Isengard 15.1 and the problem STILL persists. I still need to set an audio delay for 24p material. So disappointing that we need to wait for the next version of Kodi in 2016. Do we know if the devs are even aware of the issue?

This is not a SW issue ...

How can it not be a software issue when it didn't exist until a certain version?

Oh? I didn't realize that, sorry. It's just that problem doesn't exist with Plex so I just assumed that it was a Kodi thing.
So if it's not a SW issue, I can only assume that it's a hardware issue? I'm a little confused. One thing that seems to be agreed upon is that is it an 'issue'. So how can it be addressed? If you're saying the problem lies in the hardware, I doubt approaching Samsung, LG, Sony etc about their TVs would achieve anything? But there could be a solution written in to the software to solve the problem?

I just wonder why it doesn't happen with plex What do they do differently.

No idea, what they do. They only pull enhancements and don't PR their improvements. Constantin and fixed delays are introdzced by the avr/TV chain. On my marantz/Samsung combination 175 ms at 24p.

AFAIK, their software ships with a delay of 175ms already set (via an advancedsettings file - same as is available in Kodi). They asked users for their opinions and this was the 'common' delay reported.

That you got wrong. This was me and newphreak 2 years ago. We asked arround 100 users with 2 samples, 24 and 23.976 and averaged the results. This is why _openelec_ ships 175 for those Rates by default.

So we are aware of this avr/TV delay, but drivers don't tell us, so we decided for the 175 via advancedsettings. So plex copied this, also?
