olympia Wrote:Allright I see the issue... I haven't seen it because it's only a Beta2 issue and only on Linux (and I am on HEAD where this got fixed already).
Anyhow, I reverted a small piece of code (can result in some accent failure now) which will be re-added after next beta to make it work in Beta2.
So it should be OK now for you with IMDb scraper version 2.0.8.
@loverboy
Nice file path by btw. You're welcome
Very very thank you Olympia, works now for me too....

As you said "accents" hit me !!!
"José Miguel García" instead of "José Miguel García"
The only fix is beta3 of Dharma?
Thank you
With regards to the accents: Yes, that's what I told previously
Concerning that playing roles scheme: probably I won't fix/add it

Actually it works, but obviously only if Full Credits is checked in scraper settings. (that's because the playing roles are not listed on IMDb main page)

So, it appears that with Camelot the Movie Title and Credits are broken again with the IMDB scraper. Any thoughts on this, Olympia? Did IMDB change their dang format again?

If you're asking that "nicely" yes, there are thoughts, and also zillions of threads opened on this merged into a single one:

olympia Wrote:...and you find the solution in the 4th post...Maybe I can provide a datapoint.
I'm also running Camelot, and as advised I replaced:
/usr/share/xbmc/system/scrapers/video/imdb.xml
with:
http://xbmchuscraper.googlecode.com/svn/...t/imdb.xml
I don't get title, plot and rating for the following movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1308138/
But only while I have an NFO file beside the video file, which contains the given IMDB link and no XML video info. When I remove the NFO and try again, the scraper works completely fine. This is not because of the IMDB link in the NFO being wrong, because when I peek at the database, I see that the scraper selected the same entry:
Code:
sqlite> select c00,c09 from movie where c00 = 'Hua Mulan';
Hua Mulan|tt1308138

Fixed. Re-download the xml and replace it again. Should be OK.

Thank you for fixing it Olympia.
I have been using XBMC Live 9.11 for a while now. It works so nicely. Only every few months there are minor scraper issues. Last time it was themoviedb.org that changed layout. Hehe and now it's imdb.
Keep up the great work. XBMC truly made my life alot easier

Hey Olympia, been having a bug regarding IMDB scraping and a certain movie. I am not sure if its because of the new layout or what but I am using the latest build on Dharma Beta 2, for the movie "The Human Centipede (2009)" its not scraping the year. Any ideas? could you give it a try please or would you rather I post a debug log?

Hello and Thank you Olympia
Strange..... accents works now
I still have 2.0.8 !
Honestly, I have 2 computers that do the tests. But both have the same software config Lucid - Daharma - Scraper 2.0.8.
On Friday I tried with "accents" home, and the result you know it from previous post.
But at work, the "accents" was scraped correctly.
Strange ......
I do not know if asking too much, but can be a setting in my operating system on the font encoding or in xbmc?
Thank you
Respect
